Important: This calculator is a planning estimator, not an official rate card. It avoids asking for the total film budget and instead infers likely budget ranges from production scale, release target, region and workflow scope. Always review audio condition, turnovers, deliverables, mix format, deadline, stage requirements and revision policy before sending a real quote.
Why can budgets vary so much?
Large-scale audio post can include multiple dialogue editors, sound designers, Foley teams, ADR sessions, calibrated 5.1/Atmos mix rooms, theatrical dub-stage time, M&E/stem deliverables, QC passes and several client revision rounds. That is why a 90-minute film can be a small indie job in one context and a six-figure or seven-figure workflow in another.
