What DAWs are the mixing templates compatible with?
Templates are available for Pro Tools Ultimate, Steinberg Nuendo, and DaVinci Resolve Fairlight. Each template is purpose-built for its DAW with native routing and bus configuration — not a generic session file.
Do the Dolby Atmos templates work with the internal renderer in Pro Tools?
Yes. All Dolby Atmos templates are configured for Pro Tools Ultimate's internal Dolby Atmos Renderer. No external hardware or additional software is required beyond Pro Tools Ultimate with a valid Atmos licence.
Which version of ReVibe II and FabFilter do I need for the presets?
ReVibe II presets require Avid ReVibe II. REVelation presets require Steinberg REVelation. FabFilter Pro-Q 3 presets require FabFilter Pro-Q 3; Pro-Q 4 presets require FabFilter Pro-Q 4. Each preset pack page specifies the exact plugin version required.

Does the REVelation reverb preset pack work with Nuendo 13 and above?
Yes. The REVelation preset pack is compatible with Steinberg Nuendo 13 and above, including Nuendo 14 and Nuendo 15. The presets load directly through Nuendo's native preset browser — no additional steps required. Older versions of Nuendo may not include the REVelation plugin and are not supported.
Does the PRO Stereo Mixing Template work with Pro Tools Studio?
Yes. The PRO Stereo Film Mixing Template (v2.0) is compatible with Pro Tools Studio as well as Pro Tools Ultimate. It uses standard stereo routing and does not require any features exclusive to Ultimate — so it opens and runs correctly in Pro Tools Studio without modification.
Can I use the 5.1 mixing templates if I don't have surround monitoring?
You can open and navigate the templates without surround monitoring, but to mix in 5.1 correctly you need at minimum a 5.1 speaker setup or a monitoring controller that supports it. Without surround playback you cannot accurately judge panning, surround balance, or LFE levels. A binaural monitoring plugin can serve as a temporary alternative for checking spatial placement.
Do the ReVibe II presets work inside Pro Tools as well as standalone?
Yes. The ReVibe II presets work wherever the Avid ReVibe II plugin is used — inside Pro Tools, inside Nuendo, or in any DAW that hosts ReVibe II as an AudioSuite or RTAS/AAX plugin. The presets are loaded through ReVibe II's built-in preset manager regardless of the host DAW.
Are the Dolby Atmos templates suitable for OTT delivery to Netflix and Amazon?
Yes. The Dolby Atmos templates include pre-configured print master outputs and downmix chains set up for OTT delivery. The routing targets –27 LKFS integrated loudness for Netflix Atmos and includes a 5.1 compatibility downmix — both of which are requirements for major OTT platforms. Always verify the current platform delivery specification before final submission, as specs are updated periodically.
Can I use the FabFilter Pro-Q 3 presets in Pro-Q 4?
FabFilter Pro-Q 3 presets are not natively compatible with Pro-Q 4 because the preset format changed between versions. If you need Pro-Q 4 presets, we have a dedicated FabFilter Pro-Q 4 preset pack available separately. Both packs are available on the products page.
Do the templates include pre-built plugin chains or just routing?
The templates include pre-built bus routing, VCA groups, stem outputs, and print master configuration. Plugin chains (EQ, dynamics, reverb sends) are included as insert placeholders on key channel types but are intentionally conservative — the routing is the core value, and mixing choices are left to the engineer. This ensures the templates open cleanly on any system regardless of which third-party plugins are installed.
